I am a web developer based in Perrysburg Ohio. While I spend most of my time freelancing with the exceptional local creative community, I am always open to excited and innovative projects to work on.
Now the boring stuff. My main skill set lies in web development, all the stuff the user doesn’t care about. I am passionate about web standards, accessibility, and usability. My primary language is PHP, but I am slowly progressing towards Ruby and Ruby on Rails. If you haven’t looked at it, do it now www.rubyonrails.org.
If you’re like me, you think Flash is all but dead in web pages. Sure videos are done in Flash, but that’s where it ends. If there is a future in Flash it lies in web apps. I haven’t played with Flex, but I would venture to guess if your a Flash person, you should be using Flex and/or Air.
In addition to all the back end stuff, and the “I think Flash sucks” stuff, I love JavaScript, and I think it has huge future in tomorrows web. The dark side is that many of us (Web Developers) use JavaScript like it is magic dust. Sprinkle it on images, sprinkle it on navigation, sprinkle some on the content, and we have an outstanding dynamic website.
Changing gears, I am a huge social media fan, and we have an awesome community here in Northwest Ohio. Our community contains many people with very different skill sets that work well together and we are sure to make some noise in due time.
That’s me in 5 paragraphs. If you want to connect with me, I’m all over the Internet, I’m in the sidebar on this page, or just Google Me.
